Yumei Long is a mental health professional with over 10 years of experience in managing mental health services in both public and private sectors. Yumei has completed a Master of Forensic Mental Health from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Health Service Management from the University of Technology Sydney with a sub-major in Project Management.
Yumei has held various positions in managing inpatient and community mental health services catering to a broad range of clientele in terms of age and clinical needs. Yumei's recent experience includes Director of Clinical Services at one of Australia's largest private mental health hospitals, where in recognition for her work, she was given the responsibility of setting up and launching a new service for treatment-resistant depression. Yumei has also managed a tertiary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Service and led a team in setting up an Outreach Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. Yumei played a key role in the initiation and operation of two mental health units under a public-private partnership.
