How do I get to the hospital?

Can I bring pets?

Pets are not permitted onsite. The only exception is approved assistance dogs, which must be kept on a leash at all times.

Can I bring gifts for a client?

Yes, however we ask that you check with our nursing staff before providing any items, as some may pose a safety risk.

Guidelines:

  • Flowers: Must not contain materials such as wire. Vases are available onsite.
  • Gift boxes: Please consider food safety and client wellbeing when selecting items.

Can I bring food into the hospital?

Food may be brought in, provided it meets our infection control and food safety guidelines.

  • Items requiring refrigeration must be labelled with the client’s name, date, and time
  • These items should be provided to Hotel Services staff
  • Perishable food must be consumed within 24 hours, otherwise it will be discarded

Can I bring medication?

All medications - prescription and non-prescription (including vitamins and over-the-counter medications) - must be provided to nursing staff on admission.

If a client requests that you bring in medication, please speak with our nursing team before doing so.

Who do I speak to if I’m concerned about someone’s care?

If you have any concerns about a client’s wellbeing or care, please speak with their nurse or doctor.

You may also request to speak with the nurse in charge. Our team is here to support you and address concerns promptly.
