Dr Michael Lau

Dr Michael Lau is a Sydney-based Consultant Psychiatrist. He obtained his primary medical degree from the United Kingdom. Having completed his psychiatry training in the Northern Sydney region, he has substantial knowledge and understanding of the local demographic. He has Masters Degree in Medicine (Psychiatry) from University of Sydney.
He is a fellow of the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, an Affiliate of Royal Australia College of Medical Administration and is trained in Addiction and Adult Psychiatry. As the National Medical Director of Monarch Mental Health Group, Dr Lau dedicated his attention to neuromodulation treatment in mental illness. He has been providing expert opinion on repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and deep TMS.
He is also an Honorary Clinical Lecturer of Australia National University, College of Health and Medicine, working in collaboration with some of the work renown researchers in the field of medicine and psychology.
